Explore EnviHUT

EnviHUT is conceived as a small portable recreation facility based on a steel container frame having a gable roof covered with three variants of vegetative roof compositions. The built-in materials were chosen with care, meeting the needs of the research team and the physical parameter measurements, and throughout the construction process several variants of recycled materials were built-in to the structures as well. The construction of EnviHUT from the perspective of energy usage is self-sufficient and independent.

The main interior area is the living room and kitchen with a simple couch and fireplace. Through a ladder one can access the gallery with a place to sleep. Under the gallery are the minimalist hygienic facilities and a small entrance corridor. A sample of measuring equipment is located in the installation shaft of hygienic facility and is operated from the living room area. Daylighting of the main space is made possible by a roof light and windows with automatic blinds.
